Acceptable Use
What you can and can't do with what we build.
The rules of the road for clients using Aproksha-built AI systems and Labs products. Short, plain, and enforced.
Effective May 2026
01
Who this applies to
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to anyone using AI systems we build for clients, products published under Aproksha Labs, and any API access we provide. It is incorporated by reference into our MSA, SOWs, and product terms.
This is the short, plain version. The MSA / SOW for paid engagements may add specifics; where they conflict, the MSA / SOW prevails.
02
What is allowed
You may use systems we build or operate to:
- Run your business: customer support, internal copilots, automation, analytics, and similar legitimate uses.
- Build on top of our APIs and tools as agreed in your contract.
- Integrate with your stack: CRM, helpdesk, telephony, internal databases, and so on.
- Adapt content, prompts, and workflows for your context, within the licenses granted.
03
What is not allowed
You may not use systems we build or operate, or our APIs, to do, or help others do, any of the following:
Illegal or harmful
- Anything illegal under applicable law.
- Generate child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content sexualizing minors.
- Generate content that incites violence, terror, or serious physical harm.
- Coordinated harassment, doxxing, or stalking.
Deception and fraud
- Impersonate real people without permission, or imply endorsement that does not exist.
- Run scam operations, phishing, or financial fraud.
- Generate disinformation at scale, including election or health misinformation.
- Evade watermarks, labels, or disclosures we require for AI-generated content.
Privacy and consent
- Process personal data without a lawful basis or contract.
- Surveil individuals without meaningful consent and lawful authority.
- Re-identify de-identified data, or attempt to.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages (spam) or telemarketing in violation of local law.
Security and abuse
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system without written authorization (red-teaming under our security program is the exception).
- Distribute malware, viruses, or destructive payloads.
- Bypass rate limits, quotas, or other technical controls.
- Use the system to attack any third party.
High-risk uses without controls
- Use AI output as the sole basis for consequential decisions about a specific individual (hiring, firing, lending, insurance, healthcare access, sentencing) without meaningful human review.
- Replace licensed professional advice (legal, medical, financial) without disclosure.
- Operate in safety-critical environments (medical devices, transportation control, critical infrastructure) without explicit written agreement and additional safeguards.
04
What happens if you violate this AUP
If we believe a violation has occurred, we may:
- Contact you to understand what happened and ask for remediation.
- Suspend access to the affected system pending investigation.
- Terminate your engagement or product access for material or repeated violations.
- Cooperate with law enforcement where required by law.
For ambiguous situations, our default is to talk first, suspend second, terminate last. For violations that risk imminent harm, our default is to suspend immediately and talk afterward.
05
Reporting violations
If you see something, whether you are a client, a user, or a member of the public, tell us:
- Email: support@aproksha.com
- Subject: “AUP Report”
We acknowledge within 72 hours and investigate.
06
Changes
We may update this AUP as patterns of misuse evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the “Effective” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
A note on this document. This is a drafting template based on common patterns in similar businesses. It is not legal advice. Before relying on it for any binding situation, have it reviewed by counsel licensed in your jurisdiction. Aproksha keeps it accurate and current to our actual practices, but a lawyer's read will catch nuances we cannot.
